"We are witness and participants in what is
an historic moment in the management
of the Mokelumne Wilderness."
- Karen Kite, MWV

Working under the direction of the United States Forest Service (USFS), the Mokelumne Wilderness Volunteers (MWV) was established in 2006 to help protect and preserve the Mokelumne Wilderness for generations to come. Completing specific projects identified and prioritized by the United States Forest Service is one way the MWV can help the Forest Service attain its goals.

Now, with MWV's affiliation with the Eldorado National Forest Interpretive Association (ENFIA), both groups are working with the USFS to manage the Mokelumne Wilderness and Carson Pass regions of the forest.
